Told you I wanted something else
Now I have it
And every day that passes I think
I’d rather scrap it
She’s present emotionally
Like bro, just chill
Always wants to be with me
Like, on my heels
We talk late oh so seriously
It’s feeling stuffy
She’s kind and fun invariably
But rarely funny
God’s her day one, she’ll never switch up
I’m no critic
But says she trusts in every bishop
How simplistic
She has some darkness in her past
Still doesn’t get it
Like “read the Bible, you’ll feel better”
Bruh, I read it
Cooks me dinner, has a great family
Runs every day, has plans and plan Bs
Hugs me tight, texts me back quickly
Knows what she wants and says it clearly
The perfect girl for someone, surely
I’m anxious, bored, and getting lonely
I’m tired of straightforward communication
I miss poetry
I’m tired of not playing games
I miss the bowling league
I’m tired of being the better dressed
I miss getting mogged
I’m tired of not cracking jokes
When life’s a dawg
I’m tired of going stupid fast
Just give me peace and nonchalance
I’m tired of living by “I should”
Instead of by “I want”
I thought I should go close and quick
Yeah, perfect plan
To get a bad relationship
And lose a friend
